Vancouver Referencing Guide: Web Pages

A guide to the Vancouver referencing style commonly used in the biomedical sciences

Web Site

Unlike the titles of other kinds of resources, titles on Webpages should be reproduced as closely as possible to the wording on the screen, duplicating capitalization, spacing, punctuation, and special characters when possible. This may mean all lower case letters (e.g., medicinebydesign), capital letters within words (e.g., netLibrary), run-together words, etc.

Standard Citation for the Homepage (first or introductory page) of a Web site

Author.  Title [Internet].  Place of publication: Publisher; Date of publication [Date of Update/Revision; Date of citation].  Available from: URL
