Summon searches all library materials appropriate to college-level research simultaneously and ranks the results by relevance to your search terms. We call this type of research a "discovery search." Rather than repeating your search in several library databases for articles and the library catalog for books, you can do one search in Summon and receive results for all the articles, books, newspapers, reference sources, and more that we have on your topic. Whenever available, full text links appear on the search results page. Have questions about how to use Summon? A librarian will be happy to answer.

However, later sections of this class may need to develop more creative strategies. You can identify concepts identified with your motivation theory in the background materials you read on the topic. For example, the concept of creativity intelligence is closely associated with triarchic theory:
If have tried all of the search strategies listed on this page to identify a book on your topic and still cannot find one that is not checked out, we can have you order one via InterLibrary Loan. ILL is a free service. You will need to find a complete citation for your book, including title, author, and publication year, or your order will not be processed. Make sure you mention that all Wilkes copies are currently checked out when placing an order for a book owned by Wilkes, or your order will not be processed.
