Adultism: Refers to behaviors and attitudes based on the assumption that adults are more knowledgeable than young people, and entitles them to act upon young people without their agreement.
Ageism: The oppression of elders by youth and adults; prejudice or discrimination on the basis of a person's age.
Elder: a distinguished man or woman who is recognized in the Aboriginal community for the gift of wisdom, healing and/or spiritual leadership.
Intergenerational: existing or occurring between different generations of people; involving more than one generation.
