Links to electronic library materials must be created and formatted in specific ways to allow all users to access the resources. Unlike most other online sources, the URL in the browser address bar is not sufficient to link to library materials. Permalinks are stable links to electronic resources which allow multiple users to access the same electronic resource directly without searching for a citation. Permalinks are also sometimes called PURLs (permanent URLs).
An off-campus link is a proxied resource link that allows users to access electronic library materials from off campus.
